If your payment has been declined, the first step is to try re-entering the card information to ensure it was entered correctly, and then manually attempt the payment again from your profile.
If this does not work, review your bank or credit card information to confirm there are no holds, blocks, or limits on your account. Contact the credit card company or bank to find out why the payment did not clear.
Typically student accounts have a limit of $500, so if you are trying to pay more than that, the payment would be declined by your bank.
For Visa/debit cards, especially if it's the first time you are making an online payment, there may be a hidden online limit. Contact your bank and advise that you are making an online payment with the VISA side of the Visa/Debit card.
